Hello, I'm Cristiana, I'm fifty years old and from here I leave for a new adventure.
My passion for tailoring was born initially from the games I played as a child wearing paper dolls and, subsequently, from a necessity: at eleven / twelve years old I lived very badly the fact that I was a little overweight and I could not stand not to find clothes in the shops for children or teenagers where my sister was served. Is it possible that I had to adapt to dress adult clothes? I did not accept it, I did not want to dress like a woman, I wanted to dress according to my youthful taste, so, at the time of choosing the high school to attend, despite the opposition and insistence of my Italian teacher who wanted to see me at the classical high school, I chose to attend the G. Deledda Women's Professional Institute of Modena.So I began to sew my clothes and soon to make garments for the whole family.
After the three-year period I obtained the certificate of seamstress for women and then the diploma of fashion designer and women's model maker. Incredible to conceive for the present day, but the companies came to look for you immediately after graduation, so, after two months spent working in a knitwear factory in Carpi, I was sought and hired by an underwear company in Modena in which I grew up professionally creating immediately garments for which I had not been prepared at school; moreover I had never even considered how they could be realized.
I had a boyfriend for several years and a job, so why wait? At the age of twenty, so, I got married realizing two dreams that I had as a young girl: to find the prince charming and ... design my wedding dress:DONE!! What a satisfaction !!
For thirteen years I worked at the same company and at the same time I studied taking the specialization in corsetry and underwear in a well-known Bolognese fashion institute. In the company I have always been in charge of the sample department until the birth of my second child, when I decided to start my own business to reconcile without too many feelings of guilt the role of mother and that of worker.
So I created my sole proprietorship, the "ANGEL & JOY" and designed, created and marketed at a few selected points of sale my first sample of underwear.
I started with rolls of fabric and two sewing machines in the dining room, with my son Jacopo who enjoyed riding the rolls under the table to play, Alex who ambushed him and myself who sewed with one eye on the sewing machine and one on the children; what a struggle !! But what a great time!!
Later I created a small well-equipped laboratory which is the one where I currently work and where I study and create my garments. My biggest passion is fabrics, and buying them is "my favorite sport". I love going in search of fabrics, trimmings and accessories. When a fabric strikes me it is because I already visualize it with a very precise shape, I already see the garment made as the imagination suggests. I have been for years an external collaborator at other companies both in the underwear and clothing for which I have dealt with the creation of samples, creation of basic models, fit control, manual size development and with CAD technology, production, realization of processing boards and production control.
After working, therefore, for companies for which the optimization of times and manufacturing processes were the basis of my work to obtain large quantities of garments at affordable prices, I discovered, but I already knew, that the greatest satisfactions I had when I created unique garments for me, for my children or for my customers; handmade garments, correct and perfected even during the various stages of processing, those where it is possible to use needle and thread to make a hem, to attach a button or a label, also hand-painted.
I made wedding and ceremonial dresses for which the greatest gratification came from the amazement and joy that I saw in the eyes of those who had commissioned them. I had a lot of fun interpreting different subjects, such as a sunflower or a lion and making carnival clothes. I challenged myself by creating a sporty cyclist's body for an Italian champion who in addition to the tricolor also had style. I made personalized swimwear for those who struggled to find the right size, I made the kit of my children making original clowns and jumpsuits and even their largest clothes, including those for ceremonies, I painted t-shirts that still shine with color despite the many washing in the washing machine. I have created unique curtains for particular environments and created a series of t-shirts designed in collaboration with my boys. And here I stop because thinking about it there are so many of my achievements and works that have given me joy in doing them.
Here, after this "discovery", and after a sudden health problem (from which fortunately I came out whole) that made me think about the frenzy and speed with which we usually live our days, I made considerations, perhaps trivial, on what really matters and on what I want to surround myself with: ONLY BEAUTIFUL THINGS.
I want to come across, therefore, in this adventure of HANDMADE, OF THE ONLY FOR A FEW, of the UNIQUE GARMENT, to collect as much satisfaction as possible to collect from my creations. I want to believe that there are people able to appreciate the SLOWNESS with which I make my garments, and the PASSION I put into looking for a fabric, combining a lace, building a model and making a unique garment, a garment for a few or just for you.

Ciao,sono Cristiana ,ho cinquant'anni e da qui parto per una nuova avventura.
La mia passione per la sartoria è nata inizialmente dai giochi che facevo da piccola vestendo bamboline di carta e ,successivamente, da una necessità : a undici /dodici anni vivevo molto male il fatto che fossi un po' in sovrappeso e non sopportavo di non trovare abiti nei negozi da bambini o ragazzi dove si serviva mia sorella.Possibile che io dovessi adattarmi a vestire abiti da adulti? Non lo accettavo,non volevo vestirmi come una donna, desideravo vestirmi secondo il mio gusto giovanile,così,al momento della scelta dell'istituto superiore da frequentare ,nonostante la contrarietà e l'insistenza della mia professoressa di italiano che mi voleva vedere al liceo classico,scelsi di frequentare l'Istituto Professionale Femminile G. Deledda di Modena.Ho cominciato così a cucirmi i vestiti e ben presto a fare capi per tutta la famiglia.
Dopo il triennio ho conseguito l'attestato di sarta per donna e successivamente il diploma di stilista di moda e modellista donna. Incredibile da concepire per i giorni nostri,ma le aziende ti venivano a cercare subito dopo la maturità,così,dopo due mesi passati a lavorare in un maglificio a Carpi,sono stata cercata ed assunta da un'azienda di biancheria intima di Modena nella quale sono cresciuta professionalmente creando fin da subito capi per i quali a scuola non ero stata preparata;per di più non avevo mai nemmeno preso in considerazione in che modo potessero essere realizzati.
Avevo un fidanzato da diversi anni ed un lavoro, quindi, perché aspettare? A vent'anni ,così,mi sono sposata realizzando due sogni che avevo da ragazzina :trovare il principe azzurro e...disegnare il mio abito da sposa:FATTO!!Che soddisfazione !!
Per tredici anni ho lavorato presso la stessa azienda e contemporaneamente ho studiato prendendo la specializzazione in corsetteria e biancheria intima in un noto istituto di moda bolognese.In azienda sono sempre stata responsabile del reparto campionario fino alla nascita del mio secondo bambino, quando ho deciso di mettermi in proprio per conciliare senza troppi sensi di colpa il ruolo di mamma e quello di lavoratrice.
Ho creato così la mia ditta individuale, la "ANGEL & JOY "e progettato,creato e commercializzato presso pochi e selezionati punti vendita il mio primo campionario di biancheria intima.
Ho iniziato con rotoli di tessuto e due macchine da cucire in sala da pranzo, con mio figlio Jacopo che si divertiva a cavalcare i rotoli sotto al tavolo per giocare , Alex che gli faceva gli agguati e la sottoscritta che cuciva con un occhio sulla macchina da cucire ed uno sui bambini ; che fatica !! Ma che bel periodo !!
Successivamente ho creato un piccolo laboratorio ben attrezzato che è quello dove lavoro attualmente e dove studio e creo i miei capi.La mia passione più grande sono i tessuti,ed acquistarli è " il mio sport preferito ".Adoro andare alla ricerca di tessuti ,passamanerie ed accessori.Quando un tessuto mi colpisce è perché lo visualizzo già con una forma ben precisa,vedo già il capo realizzato come mi suggerisce la fantasia. Sono stata per anni collaboratrice esterna presso altre aziende sia di intimo che di abbigliamento per le quali mi sono occupata di realizzazione di campionari, creazione di modelli base,controllo vestibilità, sviluppo taglie manuale e con tecnologia cad,produzione ,realizzazione schede di lavorazione e controllo produzione .
Dopo aver lavorato ,quindi, per aziende per le quali l'ottimizzazione dei tempi e dei processi di lavorazione erano alla base del mio lavoro per ottenere grandi quantità di capi a prezzi contenuti,ho scoperto,ma tanto già lo sapevo,che le più grandi soddisfazioni le avevo quando creavo capi unici per me ,per i miei figli o per le mie clienti ;capi fatti a mano,corretti e perfezionati anche durante le varie fasi di lavorazione,quelli dove è possibile usare ago e filo per fare un orlo,per attaccare un bottone od un'etichetta, anch'essa semmai dipinta a mano.
Ho realizzato abiti da sposa e da cerimonia per i quali la gratificazione maggiore è arrivata dallo stupore e la gioia che ho visto negli occhi di chi me li aveva commissionati.Mi sono divertita tantissimo ad interpretare soggetti diversi,come un girasole o un leoncino e farne abiti per carnevale.Ho sfidato me stessa realizzando un body sportivo da ciclista per un campione italiano che oltre al tricolore avesse anche stile.Ho realizzato costumi da bagno personalizzati per chi faticava a trovare la taglia giusta,ho realizzato il corredo dei miei bambini facendo pagliaccetti e tutine originali ed anche i loro abiti più grandi ,compresi quelli per le cerimonie ,ho dipinto t-shirt che ancora oggi splendono di colore nonostante i tanti lavaggi in lavatrice.Ho realizzato tendaggi unici nel loro genere per ambienti particolari e realizzato una serie di t-shirt disegnate in collaborazione con i miei ragazzi . E qui mi fermo perché a pensarci sono davvero tante le mie realizzazioni ed i lavori che mi hanno dato gioia nel farli.
Ecco,dopo questa "scoperta" , e dopo un'improvviso problema di salute ( da cui fortunatamente sono uscita tutta intera ) che mi ha fatto ragionare sulla frenesia e la velocità con cui abitualmente viviamo le nostre giornate,ho fatto considerazioni, forse banali, su ciò che conta veramente e su ciò di cui voglio circondarmi: SOLO COSE BELLE.
Voglio imbattermi, quindi, in questa avventura del FATTO A MANO ,del SOLO PER POCHI,del CAPO UNICO ,per raccogliere quante più soddisfazioni sia possibile raccogliere dalle mie creazioni.Voglio credere che ci siano persone in grado di apprezzare la LENTEZZA con cui realizzo i miei capi,e la PASSIONE che metto nel cercare un tessuto,nell'abbinare un pizzo,nel costruire un modello e nel confezionare un capo unico,un capo per pochi o solo per te.
